On Sunday I ran the Hackney Half Marathon which as you can imagine involved running 13.1 miles around hackney. The atmosphere was great with lots of runners and lots of spectators cheering us on.
The route started in hackney marshes and went round hackney downs through the centre of hackney before looping round to Broadway market. The first 6 miles i was runnng a little too fast and suffered after that with my time dropping of considerably in the last three miles as we looped round the Olympic park. The fact that your running with so many other people makes it all the more fun and energising.
The rest of my bank holiday weekend was spent trying to recover from the torment of the run!
